We did have a thrill planning this Jewish wedding ceremony in Vietnam for Thuong & Max. Not only because of the idea of doing something for the first time but also because we are excited to experience another type of wedding customs and challenge ourselves for things we have never done before.
The Ketubah Signing
In Jewish weddings, it is a must that the ceremony is led by a Rabbi and taken under the Chuppah. The Chuppah with 4 corners and the roof is covered by a Tallit, is a symbolic of home. Other decorations for Chuppah may vary greatly in different weddings but its shape has never changed.
The wedding of Thương and Max underwent 5 important steps according to Jewish wedding traditions including: The Ketubah Signing – Circling the groom – A blessing of betrothal (Birkat Erusin)
- The giving and accepting of rings - Breaking the glass – Mazel Tov
