An epic destination wedding

The destination wedding of Lisa and Nguyen was undoubtedly one of our most memorable projects in 2023. This surreal, elegant yet epic experience marked the first time The Planners organized a destination wedding for THREE HUNDRED guests and was the first one we had at New World Hoiana Beach Resort.

A never-been-done concept

With a project of this magnitude, we created a neven-been-done concept which was not only visually fascinating but also laced with the profound meanings that Lisa and Nguyen wanted to incorporate into their celebration of love.

Donning a pure white palette, featuring a “tree of life” as the centerpiece and two spotless marquees, the wedding ceremony utilized the property of ‘𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐰’. From the bird view, the marquee’s ceiling decoration created layers of shadows on the white platform.

These shadows symbolized all the nurturing efforts of Lisa and Nguyen’s family which inspire them throughout their lives, similar to the imagery of a tree’s broad foliage sheltering us in its shadow.

Lisa and Nguyen’s wedding ceremony enchanted their guests right from the jump with the couple’s memorable entrances. While the groom squad stirred up the atmosphere on a jeep, the bride walking down the aisle under the veiled parasol with “Golden Hour” playing in the background literally took everyone’s breath away.

The tearful and emotional ceremony ended with the climactic colored fireworks – a transition to a much more colorful dinner reception.

This destination wedding features a wide array of aesthetic intangibles, namely the super well-dressed guests entering the ceremony with embroidered parasols, or the well-thought wedding favors in the welcoming session – mini wine bottles with the couple’s logo.

After the pure white beach wedding ceremony, Lisa and Nguyen’s dinner reception took their guests to a whole other ambience and atmosphere. The ballroom donned a bold palette of pink and black, bringing a mysterious, charismatic and visually intriguing contrast.

The reception opted for the concept of “𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧”; the intricate use of lighting and patterns created numerous shades and reflections all over the ballroom.

With Lisa and Nguyen, their personalities and successes are the reflection of how their family and friends have always been taking care of them. This concept’s layered meanings were their most sincere tribute to their loved ones. Hundreds of table florals and diverse lighting settings also contributed to the stunning visuals of the setup.

If the wedding ceremony’s monochrome palette symbolized previous generations paving the way for the future, the vibrance in the reception stood for youthfulness, excitement and flourishing success. And it couldn’t be further from the truth – the dinner was brimming with liveliness, energy and emotions from start to finish.

It was a wonder to witness our visions come to life with the colorful napkin swing during the couple’s re-entrance, the various speeches that moved their guests to tears, or how Nguyen’s brother got everyone sing “Until I Found You” along with him – a tearful performance adored by every single person attending.

The climax must have been the gender reveal at the end of reception! When the ballroom was lit in blue, all emotions burst out as 300 guests celebrated with the couple and their family.

At the after party, the epic fireworks display capped off an unforgettable night in magnificent fashion. Without a doubt, everyone crushed the vibe check through out the wedding! All 300 guests extremely engaged with what transpired at this destination wedding and we really couldn’t have asked for a more resounding success in terms of program!
