The third day of Nikhil and Madeline’s Indian wedding was the most spectacular yet – the Hindu wedding ceremony. With a dynamic mixture of colors, vibes and sacred rituals, it became one of our fondest destination wedding memories to date as wedding planner!
Despite this was the third day (check out the first and second day) of this 3-day event series, our wedding planner team were still astonished while getting exposed to the vibrant cultural charms of India.
Madeline (Khanh Ha) is a Vietnamese-American bride. On this special occasion, we were so glad to have helped her honor her Vietnamese heritage and adopt her groom’s Indian root. Madeline looked absolutely stunning in the traditional Indian bridal look!
The Baraat
Baraat is a groom’s wedding procession in Indian subcontinent. In Indian subcontinent, it is customary for the bridegroom to travel to the wedding venue on a mare, accompanied by his family members. The Baraat can become a large procession, with booking its own band and dancers.
With Nikhil on a white mare at the center, almost a hundred guests joined in an exciting parade of synchronized vibe and endless dancing. We also came up with a “moving sound system” to stir up the fiery atmosphere of the Baraat; the whole crowd dancing and celebrating created such an incredible scene leading up to the ceremony.
The Hindu wedding ceremony
Under the stunning Mandap that stood out in the azure sky of Nha Trang, the Pandit (a Hindu priest) conducted the hour-long ceremony, joined by the couple and their family members.
On the final night of the 3-day event, the vibe peaked with a series of moving speeches and musical performances from the bridal party.
The groomsmen and bridesmaids had all of us in awe with their alluring dances under the hypnotic setup of lighting and colors.
As the party concluded, it became The Planners team’s resounding success, proven by the unmatched energy of the couple and all of their guests who thoroughly enjoyed every single moment of this massive 3-day event.
The Indian Wedding did require an enormous amount of work in terms of organizing and decorating, but became one of our most impressive projects to plan and be a part of. Thank you, Nikhil, Madeline and your families for having trusted us with this amazing experience!
